Success Stories

IMG_5919 (2)Come On Carl 2014 Gelding by Skilled. Carl was orphaned at 12hrs of age and was raised on a bucket under the supervision and guidance of our beloved nanny mare Honey. He was 1 of 4 foals that was raised by Honey that year. Carl was an extremely nice type with good scope and bone. He possessed a great manner to learn when handled as a weanling and the team at Asscher Park decided to keep Carl and race him within a syndicate. Carl is currently being trained by Lyn Tolson Racing and has shown great promise on the track. He should be making his maiden debut in the spring of 2017.

Rocknroll Icon as we would come to know him, arrived to us as a Standardbred orphan IMG_6499in 2013 after his surrogate mare died during foaling and he was delivered via emergency caesarean. ‘Bolt’ was partnered up with a nanny mare and raised on the bucket. A couple of years down the track and Bolt made his debut as a 2 year old at Terang on the 30th August 2016. Not only did he record a 17metre win first up, but he broke the track record for that age group in doing so. Since his first start, Bolt has competed in a number of feature group races with a highlight being a tough win in a 3 year old Listed Classic race at Kilmore in May 2017. Bolt’s career so far has provided a record of 15 starts for 6 wins, 5 seconds and 2 thirds, as well as a very creditable fourth in a Group 1 race in IMG_6500July 2017. No doubt there will be many more wins to come for this talented pacer who started his journey at Asscher Park.

Tuff (Blue Dove x No More One More) Roan Quarter Horse. Tuff arrived at Asscher Park as a newborn foal as his Dam passed away immediately after foaling. Tuff was raised on a bucket with our nanny mare Mooey along with 6 other orphans that year. Since leaving Asscher Park as a weanling, Tuff has been broken in and his owners are very impressed with how he has grown and developed . We look forward to future updates and watching Tuff in the cutting arena.IMG_3987IMG_6503
